The Dun Aluinn Residences consist of 14 individually designed homes, immersed in the landscape of the Dun Aluinn estate, on the edge of Aberfeldy.
Our Vision for the Dun Aluinn residences is to create beautifully designed houses, grounded in nature, supporting biodiversity and a deep connection with the land.
We worked collaboratively with award winning architectural practice, Brown & Brown Architects, as they shared our vision and design aesthetic. Susie Whyte, Architect & designer of Dun Aluinn, worked closely with Brown & Brown to create these unique, timeless homes. The Dun Aluinn Residence will be a community of like-minded owners, who value the natural world, and place design and sense of place high on their list of priorities when choosing a new home.
Architecturally, the homes reflect a shared visual language of stonework and timber cladding, contemporary forms, and carefully articulated facades. These elements combine to create modern, sculptural dwellings that sit comfortably in the landscape.

A variety of house types have been introduced to respond to different plot conditions and resident needs. Each home is designed for energy efficiency, with integrated renewable technologies such as solar panels, air source heat pumps, underfloor heating and highly insulated and energy efficient home. Born and raised in the rolling hills of Edinburgh, Scotland, our on-site Chef John Christie’s passion for exceptional produce began early, nurtured by his upbringing on a family farm. This deep connection to the land naturally led him into the world of professional kitchens, such as the Michelin-Starred Kinnard Estate, Gleneagles Hotel, and Hibiscus Mayfair.
Our menus are guided by the rhythm of the seasons and the unique microclimate of Perthshire. Every dish is thoughtfully created to reflect what’s naturally abundant and at its best. This seasonal, elegant philosophy shapes everything from our relaxed barbecues to our signature five-course tasting experience, Taste of the Highlands.
